Orange Walk District otherwise known as the Tacos Capital of Belize is located approximately 1 hour north of Belize City, 1 hour south of the Mexican border and about 2.5 hours away from our western Guatemalan border . It is home to a large group of the Mestizo population in the country, the Belize Sugar Industries, cattle farming, lumber, rum and honey. However, when we go to Orange Walk, we look forward to 2 main things: Mayan Ruin/River Tours and Tacos.

Did I mention we love tacos? Well we also love Salpicon, so your Smart Travel Belize guide will be sure to show you to places for the best Mestizo food you can get in Orange Walk.
