Place: Pick up guests at Fort Street Tourism Village

Pick up may be available from your hotel, Belize City airstrip or water taxi. 

In this compact Belize City tour, your Smart Travel Tour Guide will make sure that you get history, culture, cuisine and shopping in one package. To get your tour started, you will meet your Smart Travel Belize Tour Guide at the Fort street Tourism Village in Belize City. Together you will take an Educational tour on the North side of Belize City where we will visit the Lighthouse/ Baron Bliss monument. We then proceed along the Marine Parade and provide historic information on key locations such as: Chateau Caribbean Hotel, Memorial Park, Central Bank of Belize, MCC Grounds, BTL Park (formerly known as Lindbergh Landing), Marion Jones Sporting Complex, Central Bank, Old Belize City Prison among many other buildings.

As we make our way through the city, we will be making 5 stops.

1. Museum of Belize (Previously the Old Belize City Prison)
2. The Belize Sign
3. St. John’s Church (the oldest Anglican Church in Central America)
4. Old Government House (Now the House of Culture)
5. Downtown Belize City (Albert Street Shopping Central)

Throughout the tour, guests will have the opportunity to take pictures, buy souvenirs, eat the local cuisine and meet local fruit/food vendors. From there we will make our way back to the Fort Street Tourism Village. Your Smart Travel Belize Tour Guide will make sure that you get history, culture, cuisine and shopping in one compact package.
