In our cross country Mayan Ruin and Cave Tubing tour, guests get a chance to see a portion of Belize City and our western town of San Ignacio, Cayo in one day. At the start of the tour, your Smart Travel Belize guide will pick you up from the Fort Street Tourism Village or an agreed upon location in Belize City before taking the George Price Highway toward El Cayo. Learn about the villages along the way as you make your way up to the Nohoch Che’en Caves where you’ll be able to trek through our rainforest, explore the caves and float down the river.

Lunch is included in this Mayan Ruin and Cave Tubing tour. After floating down the river, sit back and enjoy a delicious local lunch. Our last stop on the Mayan Ruin and Cave Tubing tour is a stop at the Stone Lady otherwise known as Xunantunich. This ancient Mayan archaeological site rises above the Mopan River and looks over to the neighboring Guatemalan border. Get to walk up 130 ft of history as you climb the highest temple and hear the deep history of this site as you imagine what it was like living there in the Late and Terminal Classic periods.

At the end of your Mayan Ruin and Cave Tubing tour, we offer drop off guests at a central point in San Ignacio if you plan on staying in Cayo for a few days. Otherwise, we head back to Belize City where you are dropped off at the Fort Street Tourism Village or your original starting point.

This tour is packed with adventure and culture from start to finish. We know you only have a few days in the country, so let us help you to see more of Belize with our Mayan Ruin and Cave Tubing tour.
